WELCOME to Yaqu Pacha Chile !

Our Chiloé Small Cetaceans Project focuses on the conservation ecology of dolphins and porpoises and the anthropogenic threats to the marine ecosystem in the Chiloé Archipelago in northern Patagonia, Chile. The main flagship species are Chilean dolphin (Cephalorhynchus eutropia), Peale's dolphin (Lagenorhynchus australis), and Burmeister's porpoise (Phocoena spinipinnis). Our principal goal is to promote conservation of ecologically and economically important coastal ecosystems through research and education.
